Chris has compiled a 49-3 record at Lake Highland with a Florida state championship and another state championship runner up finish. He was the head coach at McDonogh for thirteen years compiling a 257-9 record. His teams won ten IAAM championships and placed two other teams in the finals. His McDonogh teams were #1 in the country for nine straight years and compiled a national record 177 game winning streak. Before McDonogh, he was the head coach at Mt. Hebron compiling five state championships and two #1 national rankings and a 106-9-1 overall record. Chris’s overall high school coaching record is 412-21-1. Chris’s M&D 2014 Black team won 23 tournament championships and the M&D 2019 Black won 25 championships.

Kaitlin is from Ellicott City, Maryland where she played for M&D Lacrosse and Our Lady of Good Counsel HS until 2010. While at Good Counsel, she helped the Falcons win four straight WCAC Championships. After High School she went on to play DI lacrosse at Towson University. While at Towson she helped the team to win three Colonial Athletic Conference (CAA)  Championships (2011-2014) and made three NCAA tournament appearances with the Tigers. Her In 2013 she was named the CAA Tournament MVP and in 2014 named team Co-Captain as a Senior.

Her lacrosse career continued when she moved to Chicago and began work with Lakeshore lacrosse as the coach of the National Premier 2022 team, Tournament Director, Recruiting Specialist, and Director of Individual and Small Group Training. In addition to her roles through Lakeshore Lacrosse, Kaitlin also coached the Montini Catholic High School as the Head Coach of the Varsity girls lacrosse program through the 2017 & 2018 seasons and began work as a National Girls Lacrosse League (NGLL) Regional Director in the Midwest.

Upon moving back to the East Coast, she began work as the NGLL Assistant Director as well as the MidAtlantic Regional Director. She also stepped in as an Assistant coach for the Kent Island Girl’s Varsity lacrosse team.  She most recently was the Club Director & Recruiting Coordinator for M&D Lacrosse Orlando from 2019-2022.

Coach Kes is the Head Coach of the Queen Anne’s County High School Girls Lacrosse Team and an alumna of QACHS. A 2018 inductee into the QACHS Sports Hall of Fame, she was a dual-sport captain in soccer and lacrosse before continuing her career at Longwood University (VA), where she earned multiple conference honors and served as a two-time team captain.

Since 2016, Coach Fitzgerald has taught Health and Physical Education at Sudlersville Middle School and was recognized with the 2025 Simon McNeely Award by SHAPE Maryland for outstanding teaching and leadership.

Under her guidance, Queen Anne’s has compiled a 68–6 regular season record, captured five consecutive Bayside Conference Championships, and won the 2021 MPSSAA 2A State Championship. Her teams have produced multiple USA Lacrosse All-Americans and All-Academic honorees, with many of her former players now competing at the NCAA level.

As M&D Shore’s College Recruiting Coordinator, Coach Fitzgerald finds great fulfillment in guiding student-athletes and their families through the recruiting process, helping foster accountability, ownership, and dedication along the way.

She also serves as the MPSSAA 2A East Region Girls Lacrosse Director, USA Lacrosse Eastern Shore Awards Director, and was a 2025 coach for the American Select Team Delaware. Coach Fitzgerald resides in Centreville with her husband and their three children.

Kendall is from Annapolis, Maryland and played for St. Mary’s High School. She continued her lacrosse career as a defensive player for Salisbury and graduated in 2020 with a B.S. in Exercise Science. During her time with the Seagulls, she was a four year starter and helped the Seagulls win the Capital Athletic Conference Championship in 2017 and 2018 and appeared in the NCAA tournament every year. She was named Maverick Women’s Division III Media All-American her senior season.

After graduation she moved to Austin, TX for work and joined the Southwestern Athletics staff in January 2023 as the defensive coordinator and goalie coach for the Women’s Lacrosse team.

In Austin she joined Anderson High School as the JV Head Coach and Varsity Defensive Assistant. In her first season with the Trojans, their JV team won the Division I District Championship and their Varsity program progressed to State Semifinals with 13 players receiving All-District or All-State accolades. She was also a Head Coach for Grit Austin 2028 and 2033 teams and helped run and organize camps, clinics, and practices for youth and high school teams across the Grit organization.

Most recently, Kendall has moved back to Annapolis and is the Varsity Defensive Coordinator for St. Mary’s High School. She also helps coach the M&D Shore 2028 and 2029/2030 Teams.

Eben is a Kent County, Delaware native. His lacrosse playing career started at Caesar Rodney High School in the early 90’s. Those High School years were highlighted by being a part of back-to-back state championship teams in 1996-97. His senior year he was named first-team all-state, all-American, state player of the year, and team points leader. He went on to play at the University of Delaware for two seasons before changing paths and beginning his boy’s lacrosse coaching career at St Mark’s High School as the assistant coach. He continued coaching at St Mark’s until graduating college. Once home he returned to coaching boys lacrosse for the Camden Revolution Rec Program.

After starting his family a few years later, it was the search for a sport for his young daughters that brought him to the CDEL Diamonds girls rec lacrosse program in 2011. Since that date, he has continuously coached multiple levels of girl’s lacrosse at the rec and club level, has become US Lacrosse certified, and has completed the Positive Coaching Alliance coursework. He has coached club lacrosse for LBC Lacrosse Club for 6 seasons. His love for the game, the great players/families it attracts, and all that it has given to him is what drives him to continue to coach the youth in our area.

Lexi McDaniel is an Eastern Shore native, born and raised in Easton, MD. She attended The Country School and Easton High School where she was a 3 sport, year round, athlete graduating in 2018. At Easton High, Lexi was a two year captain of the field hockey and lacrosse teams and twice earned all star and team MVP honors in both sports. While in middle and high school, she played lacrosse for Maryland United. After high school, she attended Campbell University in North Carolina where she played division 1 lacrosse for four years. While studying kinesiology at Campbell, Lexi earned multiple Big South Presidential Honors and appeared in 44 games as a Camel with 19 starts. Lexi has been a head club coach for 5 years and enjoys spreading her love for the game of lacrosse across Maryland’s eastern shore. As a former draw taking midfielder and more recently, collegiate attacker, Lexi has experience on both the offensive and defensive ends of the field. When she’s not coaching lacrosse, she enjoys spending time at the beach and being on the water with her golden retriever, Kelso.

Sky played Varsity lacrosse at Century High School. She was coached by Towson University standout Becky (Trumbo) Groves, and during her time, won multiple state Championships.

Sky played midfield for VCU from 2015 to 2019. She was a four-year captain and a standout performer throughout her collegiate career. Sky led her team in most goals scored for all four years, and holds the program record for career goals and points. During her time with the Rams, Sky was recognized for her achievements on the field and was awarded VCU female Athlete of the Year. She was also awarded First team All-Atlantic 10, Second Team All-Atlantic 10 and A–10 Player of the Week multiple times throughout her career.

After Graduation, Sky joined coach Becky at Century as an assistant coach before moving to the Eastern Shore.

Sky has been involved with M&D Shore for the past 3 years (2022-2025). She started as the 2029 Black Assistant Coach in 2022 and became the M&D Shore 2029 Black Head Coach in 2023. 

Coach Williams is going on his 5^th season as Varsity Head Coach for Worcester Prep Girls Lacrosse, and has over 10 years youth girls lacrosse coaching experience at club and recreational levels.  After playing goalie for NJ State Champion Ridgewood High School in the early 90’s, which included a NJ State Record 44 Game Win Streak, Coach Williams went on to play college lacrosse at Mary Washington College (University). Coach Williams is a Certified Level 3 USA Lacrosse Coach, and has also won the Mid Atlantic Positive Coaching Alliance “Double Goal Coach Award”.

Morgan has been assisting the M&D Shore 2029 Black Team since Spring 2024. During her own club career she was a part of the M&D 2024 Black Team, who was #1 in the country for the 24 grad year. For her HS career, she played for Saints Peter & Paul where she finished with over 400 career points. Throughout Morgan’s time she garnered many accolades as well as recognition from multiple organizations, some of which are listed below. All of this ultimately led to Morgan receiving a scholarship for play lacrosse at Loyola University for their Division 1 Women’s program.

Emily Sheppard is from Queenstown, MD and played for Queen Anne’s   County High School from 2015-2019. She played club lacrosse for the first recruiting class for Lady Blue Crabs Lacrosse back in 2019.

After High School, Emily continued to play lacrosse for McDaniel College where she majored in Psychology and Business Administration. Emily served as team captain for her Junior and Senior seasons.

Mandie is from Chestertown, MD, where she played high school lacrosse from ’99-’03. She has a background in fitness and personal training and joined the North Caroline High School lacrosse team as an assistant coach in 2021. In her first year as head coach in 2022 the Bulldogs won a Regional Championship and she was named the North Bayside Coach of the Year. Mandie currently teaches Foreign Language at Lockerman Middle School in Denton, MD.

Garrett Thrift was born and raised in Baltimore, MD.  He played lacrosse year-round as a kid and ultimately attended Franklin High School where he was a three-sport athlete graduating in 2002. At Franklin, Garrett excelled in lacrosse, wrestling, and soccer, securing honors in all three sports; e.g., leading scorer as an attacker for the lacrosse team both his junior and senior years. After opting out of multiple collegiate wrestling opportunities, Garrett chose to attend Salisbury University to pursue a business degree. Garrett and his entire family have been around lacrosse literally his entire life, as his mother, Robin, played at Frostburg State College and then coached Franklin High’s women’s varsity team while he was still an infant and again many years later when he and his sisters were enrolled. Robin was also instrumental in the Skywalkers girls club program, serving as administrative assistant to the infamous Michael McLaughlin; she also head coached multiple Skywalkers teams helping to develop no shortage of successful D1 players, including Garrett’s sister, Kendall, who was a 1^st team All-American D1 player at Vanderbilt University and his other sister Kaitlyn, a national junior collegiate champion at CCBC. All three of Garrett’s younger first cousins attended Calvert Hall High and also played D1 at Loyola and Towson. The eldest, Patrick, secured a National Championship with Loyola over Maryland in 2012.

Garrett, an incredibly active community member, has been highly involved in youth lacrosse on the Eastern Shore, currently serving as the President of Talbot Lacrosse; he has been coaching both girls’ recreation and club teams for the past 6 years. Garrett and his wife Katie, also a former 1^st team All-American D3 midfielder at Salisbury University where they met, have three young daughters, Kemper (12), Brooklyn (10), & Scarlett (8) who naturally share a love for the sport. When Garrett’s not coaching lacrosse, he runs a successful wealth management practice at Merrill Lynch in Easton; and in his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, boating, snowboarding, and playing golf.

Miranda “Biggs” Helfenbein is an LBC 2021 Alumni and graduated from Kent Island High School in 2021.

She was a multi-sport athlete at Kent Island High School, where she played three varsity in lacrosse and four in soccer. A team captain in lacrosse her senior year. During her high school career she won one regional championship each in soccer and lacrosse. She played defensive midfield during her high school career and continued to pursue her lacrosse career at Longwood University.

Over her career, she has started 56 games, totaling 29 goals, 16 assists, 97 ground balls, 78 caused turnovers, and 108 draw controls. She has led Longwood in caused turnovers multiple seasons, finishing 3rd in the Big South and 7th nationally in caused turnovers per game (2.53) as a junior. She also ranked 5th in the Big South in ground balls per game (2.60, 39th nationally) and was named Big South Defensive Player of the Week during 2024 season. In her senior year, she was named a team captain.

Blair is from Kent Island, MD where she played for KIHS from 2016 – 2020. She was a three sport athlete while at KI, playing soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. For the lacrosse team, she scored over 100 goals and tallied 80 draw controls. She was named a UA Lacrosse All-American in 2019 and was an All-Conference selection each season (2016 – 2019). In 2020 she was named a team Captain for KI Lax before her Senior season was cut off due to Covid. Outside of KI, she played club lacrosse for Maryland United.

While at MDU, Blair earned a scholarship to continue her career playing Division 1 lacrosse at Towson University. She earned play time each of her 4 years with the Tigers and was named to the 2023 CAA All-Tournament Team. In 2024, Blair was named a team captain. She led the Tigers in ground balls with 40, which ranked 3rd in conference. She added a career high of 33 draw controls. Over the course of her 4 years, she totaled 74 Caused turnovers & 96 ground balls.

Ally is from Kent Island Maryland. She played for Kent Island HS and club for Maryland United throughout High School. While at Kent Island she made her mark as a leading scorer and Team Captain.

She then decided to continue her lacrosse career at Campbell University. She immediately made an impact at Campbell earning a starting spot and holding onto that all 5 years she played. In 2023 she finished her season ranked 7^th in program history with 129 points (98 goals) and 10^th in program history with 31 assists.

Coach Tim started coaching girls’ lacrosse in Anne Arundel County in 2011 for one of the largest rec teams in the county to help his oldest daughter play at a competitive level. He helped lead that rec team to a 1st time ever undefeated season leading to the county playoffs.

Coach Tim continued to coach rec with his two younger daughters until approached by North Caroline High School in 2016. At that time, he took the role of assistant coach to North Caroline High School’s 1st ever JV girls lacrosse team and helped develop the entry level for the high school. Since 2017 Tim has continued to help North Caroline girls lacrosse in various roles for both the JV and Varsity teams.

Tim has coached the M&D Shore 2026 Black team for the past 3 years, bringing them through the end of their club career in Summer 2025. He is excited to bring his knowledge of the club world and bring it to the 2032 team this next season.

Since then, he has enjoyed helping young players with the fundamentals of women’s lacrosse. All three of Tim’s daughters have played and coached lacrosse for M&D Shore and North Caroline High School- Sydnie (‘20), Reese (‘26) and Ashlyn (’27).

She is currently in her senior year of college lacrosse at Radford University. She will graduate with a Degree in Physical & Health Education with a Minor in Coaching. As a junior in 2024, She led the team with 34 ground balls, caused 20 turnovers, added two draw controls, and recorded an assist earning Big South Honorable Mention All-Conference honors. In 2023, she started 16 of 17 games, collecting 17 ground balls and causing 13 turnovers. During her freshman season in 2022, she appeared in 14 games with nine starts, tallying 10 ground balls, five caused turnovers, and three draw controls.

In high school, she was a four-year varsity player in both lacrosse and soccer, serving as lacrosse team captain her senior year. She was a 2021 Regional Champion and earned North Bayside First-Team recognition.

Abby Burke is from Southern Maryland where she played for the Jets club program starting in 5th grade, making it to many tournament championships.

In high school she played for St. Mary’s Ryken in the WCAC. While there, she was a 4 year Varsity starter on Midfield.

Through her time at Jets and her high school career, she earned a scholarship to play at Wingate. At Wingate she kept up her same standard of remaining a 4 year Varsity starter for the Division 1 program. During her career there her and her team worked to create a level of success the women’s program had not yet achieved. They made it to the NCAA tournament her junior and senior year, ranked as high as 8th in the nation and during her senior year  went undefeated in conference play and won the conference tournament. She was also recognized as an All-Tournament Player.

Now in Easton, she is continuing her lacrosse career through coaching and has most recently accepted the position at the SSPP Varsity girl’s head coach.

Caroline is midfielder/attacker who played for M&D 26’ Black and is committed to play at JMU. She transferred from Saints Peter and Paul to Saint Mary’s High School in Annapolis.

She has been a x3 Varsity starter, 2x ESIAC All-Conference Team Player, and was named to the 2025 Capital Gazette All-County First Team and the 2025 IAAM A All-Conference Girls Lacrosse Team. Caroline also coaches a local 2029 recreational lacrosse team and referees U10 lacrosse games.
